I was just wondering.. Here in Cottage Grove we have several nice old gravel pit leftover ponds that have bass and catfish.
One of them is even regularly stocked with ODFW leftover trout.
Just wonder if crayfish are in them as well.
Guess I'll toss in a trap and see.
I've never seen them from...
I am amazed at the size and quantity of nice crayfish in the North fork of the willamette.
It runs right through Cottage Grove.
Anyone know if they can be kept in a pond?
Just a heads up....
Trout fishing has been sweet on Lake Dorena the past few weeks and the lake is full now, haven't coaxed a bass out of her.... yet.
Water feels warm so they ought to be getting active.
Saw a bunch of Bass boaters camping at Swartz park this weekend, wonder how they did...
Wow, that will be sweet.
They wont get past Wildwood falls though.
Unless it's flooding perhaps.
Can't wait for it to happen.
I've seen salmon in Mosby creek several times in the past.
That's a nice fishing tributary to the Row a few miles below Dorena dam.
Ha I caught a nice little scrapper in the North fortk of the Willamette just south of where the Row joins her.
Sure having good luck with a thomas 1/4lb red and gold lure.
They hit it so hard they come out of the water spinning.
FISH ON.....
I've been getting lots of hits in the lower part of the Row.
Landed several big ones and lots of little ones got away.
I'm fishing near the Middle field golf course.
Loads of fun.
I see large ponds nearby, are there still bass in them?
