    Sandy River....ghosts of fishing past

I hear ya bruther... I’m only in my mid 40’s so I was a late starter on the sandy, but caught the tail end of the good spring salmon and summer steel fishery from about ‘94 on till the mid 2000’s when the shtf. I was always an upriver guy that fished the mile stretch below the dam and up around...

    Clackamas springers

the clack getting a run of keeper springers in April, May and early June is a thing of the past. That run comes in late June, early July now. And what really sucks is the snaggers in the bowling alley hole are the ones who claim a majority of the fish tagged on the clack in that time...

    Clackamas fish run

Drove up the clack and eagle creek today. Water color on the clack is brown. Didn't see any boats or fisherman. Eagle creek was a ghost town also. Thought it would be full of silvers after these last 2 days of heavy rain. They must have shot up in last weeks rain event. Drove up to the...

I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing I was standing on top of spooked fish in 20" of water while trying to floss 1 in the...

Ask the fishing gods, you may like the answer

nuthin better than suffocating a fish (temporarilly) by sewing its mouth shut. Usually they give up right away when their in that predicament, but lucky for you she didn't... Good job, way to rip'em

Is 3 rivers a navigable river or not?

Just read the whole speel on odfw's website and im still kinda confused about if the river is deemed navigable or non. A request was submitted 4 years ago to have an official study done and nothing has been done about it? Kayakers and tooners float that section of the river daily during the peak...

    Where are you OSP?

During the fall, osp(the very few wildlife officers left) are most likely frying bigger fish up in the mountains, like deer/elk poachers. Videorecord these schmucks harrassin fish on your phone or videocamera and email it to osp with the liscence plate number of the offenders car and location...
