Made it out with Andy and Jeanna to Siltcoos today. Started off early and cold, but was well worth it. Switched up lures a bunch for a couple hours then finally got into this 10lb hen. It actually cut pretty poorly. Had some good mature eggs though. Andy and Jeanna got some nice fish as well...
There has to be a formula that considers amount of weight, length of line out, and troll speed. I just don't know what to do with the variables. Any mathematicians out there???
I know of them getting hooked @ Dexter. Guys fishing for Springers will even accidentally hook up every now and then. I found a dead one at Clearwater park in Springfield/Thurston area.
You're right about the adrenaline shakes. The other day I hooked in to the biggest steelhead of my life! Just a giant fish. After fighting it for several minutes he snapped me off. I could barely get my roe on my hook after that cuz i was shaking so bad! It really is an adrenaline rush.
It is man! Everybody deserves a little success now and then while doing some Lazy Fishing. Luckily I didn't have to do a whole lot of waiting today:D That's usually what I do most.
