    Sunriver, Oregon Fly Fishing

less familiar with the fall river, but between the bridge and the waterfall above is good water, if you catch it still in Sept you can fish below the falls. closes Sept 30th. Use the smallest tippet you can get away with, the water is very clear. Big fish harder to catch. The Crooked river is my...

Central Oregon mid Sept (no boat)

A couple buddies of mine are heading out for a 3 day fishing trip September (11th-13th). Don't get over to central Oregon much to fish. Mainly fish the North Santiam and the McKenzie. I fish the Metolius a few times a year to remind myself I'm not very good šŸ˜€. Thinking of fishing the Crooked...

Where to fish the Trask and Nestucca rivers

No real secret holes on the Nestucca. You see people fishing in the same spots daily. where 3 rivers joins the big river, 101 bridge, Jackson's drift (pay a dollar and walk across a cow pasture to a gravel bar opposite side of the 3 rivers joining) and quite a few more...my best days for cutts...

    Round Lake

Its not the best road but I would think that your Element could get in to it. There is 1 spot that washed out and created a fairly large dip on one side. I usually just throw a 2*4 in the back just in case to bridge that gap for my drivers side tire...although I haven't been since last Sept so...

    Hiking lakes or streams

    Hiking lakes or streams

I'm more familiar with the lakes east of Salem. Duffy lake is a nice 3.5 mile hike in that has pretty good fishing, from there you can hike east about a mile or so and hit Santiam lake (head waters of the North Santiam river) good fishing or you can head up the ridge to the 8 lake basin all of...

    Round Lake

It is private property but the gate has been open the last several years as long as people continue to pack out their trash it should continue to be open. Speaking of rattle snakes I had one try to climb onto my float tube once at Dry Falls in the middle of the lake.

    Round Lake

You ever fish Dry Falls Lake in Northern/central Washington? one of my favorites. Where I learned to fly fish from a float tube. Anyway one of my favorite lakes to fish is Rainbow lake just past Idanha. Beautiful small lake with lots of decent sized wild Brook trout. If you go mid week or really...

    Jefferson Park

Alright hiked into Jefferson Park this past Tuesday via the whitewater trail, about 6.5 miles into the park pretty much uphill the whole way. Stayed Tuesday night and hiked out Wednesday. Lots of small brook trout, not the best fishing but perhaps the most incredible place I have ever seen. If...
