I agree about the weed problem. Its hard to fish anything except bobber topwater or botom fishing in the summer
oh cool. I just moved to forest grove too and i end up at the little pond called dormans pond. I havnt caught much there only a dark winter bass on top water. that was odd but welcome. I have been wonering about the Tualitin and gales creek too.

I was at Bethany last week and caught this carp? with no whiskers.... I had many other bites that I missed. this was on a double drop shot rig. with corn and a worm not sure which one he took. but wow this fish was so stuffed and chubby!
For the trout fishing at Bethany, I haven't ever seen a trout caught out of the lake besides at prim time (right after they stocked it). I'm not saying they aren't in there, just that I haven't seen them.

I went for my firest time ever and it was Awesome. everyone got keepers by the end of the. We pulled in lots of shakers that were close and only one over size one by a few inches. now its time for some fish and chips!
