Hey everybody, hope the fish are biting. I'm stationed in 29 palms california. I was born in eugene though. I will be out of the marines in dec and ready to take on the steelies that winter. This site is great. I love to fish but nobody around me really understands why. Anyway's hope all of you catch that trophy but keep one in the rivers for me when i come back up.

Nice to have you on board, keep in touch - there is all ways room for a Marine on the site. This area (Springfield/Eugene) is a great place for Salmon Steelhead and Rainbow. Be well.

Welcome aboard Devil Dog! If you have a free weekend Anehiem Lake is supposed to have huge Rainbows. I know they don't compare to Winter Steel, but they may help scratch the itch. There are other productive places to fish in the high mountains as well. Big Bear lake was fun from what I remember as a kid. Hope to see more posts.
