This is a great forum site on OR. I am glad I found it. I am a fishing guide in AK but have in-laws in OR so it's great to be able to get some info on places to check out and try. I'm coming down to La Pine and Portland soon and looking for some places to try. Never caught a Stergen so I might be trying that out.

So many lakes to fish near LaPine. I'm planning a trip over there sometime after the snow melts, to East, and Paulina lakes. Great German Brown fishing among others!

Hello! I grew up in central Oregon (Prineville to be exact). If you find yourself around that area check out the Crooked River. It is such an incredible river to fish. Just watch out for the rattlesnakes
