Yea, thats my area.....I have spent a great deal of time in the Salmon Creek area. My son and I used to have a contest there each year, fly angling vs. bait. Great memory's, seems like the farther up stream you went the bigger and fewer the fish were...I understand about the distance thing, I also have a boundary of One and a half hours driving time to the boat ramp( ) I still have never even seen Detroit Res. let along fish it, so much water in my area to master. Remember the next time your in Oakridge let me know.

We camped at salmon creek falls campground the fishing around there was pretty good for stocked trout from 10-12 inches there were a few bigger nates but alot of stockers. Detroit is sweet i bet you would love it but with the great places buy you i wouldnt give a hoot about going to detroit or not. Can you tell me anything about fishing lookout rez? Ohh the bait/tackle shop in oakridge is run by a true american class act and I enjoyed talking with him if you get a chance to meet him I found it entertaining. also your area is beautifull your lucky to have those woods as your fishing grounds
