Default Fishing at the Junction City Pond (Volume II)

Yesterday I went fishing for the first time this year (I just came back from my 3 month trip to India). You can imagine how thrilled I was on my way to the pond. Fish I'm coming!!!

The weather was nice. After days and days of rain the sun appeared. Temperature - 50. No wind. Just a perfect day to start the new fishing season.

Hello Junction City Pond, I missed you.

There were plenty of anglers for this time of the year at the pond.

Spring is here. You can feel it, you can see birds coming back home from warm countries.

There was a single osprey cruising above the pond, however I didn't see him diving for fish.

As for catching fish - it was the only thing that spoiled my fishing.
I saw jumping monsters (20" at least) but fish didn't bite at all. I didn't catch any, I didn't see anyone catch anything. Maybe the water needs to warm up a little bit more? However I saw a lucky guy. He was the hero of the Junction city pond yesterday. Way to go kid!

The first sign of spring, absolutely!!! After fishing the last 5 trips in cold, windy miserable conditions I found some luck and was able to fish my favorite spot in nothing but warmth and sunshine the whole time... Ahhhh Isn't it great to just sit back in the sun, a rod in the water and everything is just all great?

Got skunked today. Not a single bite. There were about 10 anglers at the pond (the weather was cold and windy). No one caught fish. Except one lady. She did caught, and not just a fish but THE FISH!

That's a good looking fish. Thanks for the report at JCP. Great pics, too.

Default Is this cause for alarm?

This can't be normal, can it? Dead fish are under every single bush at the Junction City Pond. See attached pictures. Each picture is a different fish. I put my foot in the frame to give an idea of the size of the fish. Maybe ODWF should be alerted?
