Some friends and I went and picked up trash allong the Willamette River and filled the bed of my truck..And we didnt even get it all..

Nice job man.. Funny comments too. I can't believe this weather.. Rain, hail, sun, rain, sun, hail, cloudy, sun, snow and then you eat lunch. What then hell... With all the trash you have picked up, tell me you have at least found a lure or two for your effort?

Congratiations everyone...on pickin' up the trash................................. ........................i've never fished at JC Pond..................but i did many years ago buy a used rv from......................JC rv..............it has a lot of delamination.............................

I have forwarded this e-mail to the biologist who manages JC Pond, as
well as to the hatchery that stocks it most frequently. They may have
some insights into what is going on. It could be those big fish that
were stocked had been spawned previously and as a result were more
susceptible to potential infection or other environmental stressors than
are typical hatchery trout.

That said, I hear a lot of positive feedback about "the big fish" at
Junction City Pond. It has been a very popular program.

Steve, Tim - anything to add?

Also, while we typically leave fish carcasses in a system for biomass as
Chuck mentioned, we may or may not want to do so at JC Pond. In such a
heavily used system, we often will get calls about dead fish, especially
as water temperatures rise. If ODFW continues to be notified about this
situation, we may end up removing the carcasses. We will work with the
Adair office on that.
