Default Hang in there

Bummer about the skunk, but it happens to all of us. The thing is to enjoy the trip in spite of the catch ratio, the thing that all ways gets me is the equipment failures - I pride myself on preventive maintenance. So when something goes wrong with my equipment it stays with me for a long time. Now catching your line with a triable hook, that takes true talent I have on occasion hooked my ear while fly casting, the bad thing is you can't see the back of the ear to unhook it, you have to leave it in until you get home and have a mirror . The weather is improving so the fishing should improve also.

I'm not that worried about it...I would like to know why I can catch four fish there one week and none the next. I was fortunate in that the weather was improved over my last visit; nearly 40 degrees, so I didn't have freezing gear to worry about. I am still enjoying the Fireline, espescially the floating aspect. That is a big help.

Walling is like that. I went there one day and caught and released 7 trout in 3 hours. The next day I got 1 bite.

Usually Pine hallow resivior in Wamic OR. I also love the North fork, and harriet lake. But Im looking for the lunkers this year. So I will be found at all the lakes that OFDW is stalking the lunkers in. Looking for my first steelhead as well. On the clack and Sandy.

I love the Thomas Bouyants. Great medium depth lure. I've got a lot of action when using them. Also try the "thomas most deadly lure" I have one but havn't had the chance to use it yet. I have heard good things though.
