Question

Anitoliy, I purchased several spoons. Now I want to know what you have tied on your line ahead of the spoon that you show in your photo, in order to better copy your success.

Okay, I have one of those on. I just couldn't tell if you had some weight crimped on as well for depth. Thanks.

I didn't use weight. I was letting a lure to sink all the way to the bottom (about 10 -15 sec) and then started to retrieve.

The old saying "If you don't lose a few lures your not fishing deep enough" is true. After a while you will have a sense about it and know when you retrieve and when to let it sink more. It is just experience and a shrinking bank account.

Apparently I AM fishing deep enough, as my bank account will attest to. The experience is what must be lacking.

Sad

Your luck is rubbing off on me. Spent 5 hours up at Big Cliff without a bite. Threw spinners, Powerbait and yes, even a spoon all without success. I also managed to cast one stupendous snarl when the treble hook on the spoon snagged the line. Next week I am staying local at Walling Pond.
