Thumbs up Junction City Ponds

Well I finely made it to the JC Ponds, I was on my way home from Cheshire. I saw it on the way there and stopped by just to see for my self. Thought I might run into some OFF members while I was there, just knew I was going to see Anatoily hunting his Brooder - maybe we do need a member stickers for our cars and trucks, heck I walked around the pond, saw most of the people around the Pier and restroom area. The other side of the pond was scarcely populated, saw a few people catching Trout, nothing very large. The anglers seemed friendly and willing to share with the other anglers. Where is the best place to try ones luck....next time I am in the area I would like to give it a try.
Where does the stocker truck put the fish into the pond ? I didn't see any access for the truck to back up to the water. Only thing I didn't like about the place was the getting back on hwy. 99........man those cars are moving !!!

You need to wade though the mud to get to the south side. The east side was closed Saturday, They were starting to rebuild the trail around the pond.

I fish the corners and around the dock, but its such a small pond that covers most of the pond. The hot spots seem to change day to day, hour to hour. I think the fish swim laps around the pond. So if you walk the bank in opposite direction fish are swimming (50/50)you will find them. Or if you stay in one spot they will come to you

Not sure but there two gates in the railing, one by the dock and one close to the road. Anatoily has seen them stock it, he might tell us

Just be patient, a gap will come along. For turning north across the Hwy there is a center turning lane, I use it then wait for gap.

Good Luck and Good Fishing

I wen fishing today from 1pm to 4pm (fly and bubble). The day was sunny, the sky was clear. Air 75, water 68 according to my thermometer. Strong wind turned the pond in a little ocean. Hooked 2 trout and didn't manage to land them. Caught a dosen of bluegils.
