Going home with a creel full of fish is great, but sometimes going home with hands that don't smell like worms is priceless!

Amen, Bro. That's why the only time I use bait is when I bring the kids. Otherwise it's all artificials for me. Doesn't hurt the fish, either.

Thumbs up Stocked this afternoon

I was at Junction City pond this afternoon.....ODFW dropped several hundred fish. According to the guys on the truck they included about 100 steel head returns that they did not have tanks for.

Saw a lot of tails and fish breaking the water....but no hook ups.

There were a lot of fish raising earlier. Saw several folks leaving with a stringer of trout...but none of them steelhead.

Guy down the bank from me had a couple of nice fish...fighting all the way to the bank on a fly rod. He left just before the ODFW folks showed up.

I got skunked....but didn't have the right stuff. Oh well, will be back in the AM with the right gear and bait.

Default Skunked at JC pond

I went to JC pond with a friend yesterday and didn't catch a thing. It was fairly cold and raining off and on and I didn't see a single fish caught on the pond all day. I hope to try again soon because we saw some monsters cruising the waters. Anyone else having luck there?
