Default Dichro lure shapes

Does anyone here have an opinion on lure shape? I am making a bunch of glass lures and am experimenting with shapes, size, etc. The glass lures seem to lack weight so I was wondering if I can make a shape that dives. I have twisted them with some success. Any ideas would be handy, or any literature on the subject would be useful. Who knows, I might send you a lure if the idea works out.

You should try a style like a Flatfish or Hot Shot, like a diving beak. Or may be weight them with lead or a lead substitute, before you heat them. Your could call them lead glass lures...

I think the flatfish dives with it's beak maybe because of the split rings position on the top making the angle of the lure dive downward. This could work to put a ring on top of the lure instead of the front and then the whole lure becomes the beak. Thanks Troutski for getting the wheels turning....

I think that the infamous Thomas Bouyant dives a little deeper than the average spoon style lure. That is all I can think of.

Post Hand Made Glass Lures

Had the opportunity to observe Dichroic today and even try my hand at it; making a glass lure from scratch...Talk about being a novice at something. I finely got one completed and put into Dante's Fire, now thats a hot thing. I couldn't stick around for the unavailing but I am sure Scott will post some pictures of the finished products. He made a couple today that looked like they belonged in the water. Thanks for the instructions Scott , next time we can build a couple spinners or maybe even a spoon from a spoon, the recycled part makes a great Superduper type lure.

Maybe if you made some with thick lead wire around the entire edge they would get down deeper.
