No wonder I was all by myself on the lake, Sunday at Hills Creek. Total blizzard conditions, the state cop was going to give me a ticket for not having chains on my boat trailer
. The fishing was reasonable for the conditions, keeping in mind the conditions sucked. Mostly stocker Trout, the water temp from all the snow and snow melt is keeping the water colder than normal. The Bass weren't hitting a thing I had, but then again I am a rookie. Spent the morning and part of the afternoon shoveling snow from my boat and top and decided to call it a day. Just a heads up if your on your way to Hills Creek; there is a rather large log blocking the ramp in the back of the Middle Fork arm. If you have a small boat like I do it is doable, but if your boat is heavy you could run into some trouble.Chuck

I'm glad you were able to cath a few fish despite this nasty weather we've been having for this time of year. I'm still waiting for the warmer weather to pick up so I can get my son out there again. That last time I fished out there there was a man fishing from his car on the boat ramp with power bait.....Even he was catching more fish than the other boaters I saw that day. I'm curious to know if he made it away with any fish, there was an osprey giving his catch an evil eye.
