Thumbs up Nice Spring Day at Hills Creek

Made it up to Hills Creek this morning, actually before morning...had to wait for enough light to just get the boat ready. Water temp at the ramp was 41 degrees and 47 in the flats, the Trout seem to be hanging around the drop offs and waiting for forage to come by....well the thought my gold spoon was forage; started trolling right out of the boat ramp and had 5 fish with in 4 min. you know this is going to be a great day. Bald Eagles, Ospreys not to mention a plethora of Trout and Salmon. We (Bentrod) set two personal records and a boat record in the same day. It was like being in a Trout pond, hatchery Trout along with Native Rainbows and CutBows. A day I won't ever forget, as long as I live... The other lure of the day was a Super Duper brass with a red tip. The weather was perfect, cloud cover and a sprinkle now and then, all in all a perfect day with a great friend, you could say a great day of catching. Spin fishing at its best...
total count: Rainbows 90
Salmon 6
CutBows 5
Grand total: 101 fish in the boat

We were going to stop at one hundred but Darrell had to catch one more to break the 100 barrier

I have to sign off now gotta put some ice on my shoulder.

Chuck

Had a great day with Troutski at Hills Ck. The fish were cooperative and our hands were warm all day. My shoulder and wrist won't recover for a few days, but it was certainly worthwhile.
