Post Hills Creek at minimim pool

After my last post on the Skunk Tread, its nice to be back here. The morning started out with a rain storm from some movie...I was all ready planning on spending the day with the top up and the gortex on. about two thirds of the way up hwy. 58 the rain stopped and the sun poked its head out. sweet, not a drop of rain all day on the water. The snow wasn't even close to the stuff of Monday, and the launch was free and clear, but low - very low. Some times its nice having a small boat, might have been the reason we were the only boat on the water, did see a few bankies. The water was colored but not as bad as I had anticipated, water temp: 40/39 sunny and times of gloom, my plan was to head to the dam and troll for Salmon all day and if by chance we pick up a Trout or two so be it, but the day was target fishing for Salmon. After a rather brisk ride to the dam on a perfectly smooth lake, not a puff of wind; a far cry from what I was just in a half hour ago. Bald Eagle right off the get go, Mother Natures fish finders. We started out with one lead core rod and the other long lining a seg. Repala, nothing really happing with those so we decide to go with depth and flash(florescent Blades). Wedding Rings, deep and tipped with a piece of night crawler. Didn't take long and one in the net, there goes the skunk - I am a happy angler
After Monday walking up and down Cougar I really did appreciate my boat and chair, when you want to move.....so much easier. I know to old and fat to hump the hills...so be it - thats why we have Merc's. Here are a few pictures, hope you enjoy them.
