Default There is an end to Packard Creek Ramp

Water upstream at West Fork so thick with algea you could slice it. Fished in front of the damn and limited out quickly. Water clear of algea in most of the lake. Water still 61 degrees. Another two or three foot drop and the ramp at Packard will be out of the water. Nice day though, no wind and only three boats on the lake.

Default Hills Creek....

Good job, that is one heck of a lake. What kind of fish did you catch ? I am going up there on Tuesday with a fellow OFF member. We should have a great weather day if the forecast is correct. I will have to remember to bring my knife for the front of the boat to cut my way back through the algae...

Default Hills Creek

Most of the catch consisted of rainbows ranging from 8 10 inches. These guys really hit hard and are nice and fat. I don't know for sure, but I think most are small steelhead smolts from the hatchery. Made for good eating at dinner time though. Thanks for the reply and good luck Tuesday. My weather report has a few raindrops in it, so take your raingear.

Nothing like cloud cover to make a good fishing day... We should do fine, thanks for the heads up on the algae. That stuff just hangs around all year long now, it must like that lake. I will post when I get back and let you know how we did.

When the ramp gets to the end it is a good idea to have a 4WD vehicle..
