Default Water level at Hills Creek?

Anybody been up there lately? Thinking about going the middle of this week. Any reports or information would be appreciated.

I was there yesterday morning, banking it. The water is very low...and algae is very high. The magic carpet is the key(boat). Good luck.

Default Thanks Dichro!

I presume that the boat ramps still reach the water?

Yes the boat ramp at Packard Creek camp ground is in the water all year long, I was up there Saturday and the algae is pretty bad. I don't think I will be back up there until the water cools down a bit...the water temp. on Saturday was for the high was 72 and the low 50...the fish are down deep under the algae...If your still going let me know and I can give you a heads up on where and how I did...shoot me a PM.

I have been going up there for quite a few years and I can honestly say I have never taken a Crappie , so they must still be there. Nice to hear from you again Bull-ee, how goes the angling back there ? From here it looks like the weather is starting to change.....Be well and tight lines.

I have a little spot here, you have to hike a few miles to get there so it doesn't get heavy action. I catch catfish, bass and CRAPPIE (or "bream" as they are called here) reguarly. temp is starting to drop so the fishing is even better. first pic is my spot and my favorite time to fish, by moon lite.
Hey what about that little cove near the boat ramp(i won't say which), I seem to remember catching quite a few crappie there.

actually I did not catch that cat, but it was caught on 100lb test with cut up eel as bait. I was only using 8lb test(I like a challenge) and what I caught broke my line before I ever saw it... guess I wasn't up to the challenge. it was still a kick though.
