Default Hills Creek Fisherman-Out of commission

Just to update all my fellow frequenters (is that a word?) of Hills Creek. It looks like most of you will be safe from Greadyeagle's attack on the fish of Hills Creek for awhile. During my last outing at my favorite fishing lake, I broke the big motor on my Alumaweld. Just cruising back to Packard, and the engine just died. Got it home and upon priliminary inspection, I've got water in the three left bank cylinders of my v-6 Mercruiser. I don't know about you guys, but it sounds expensive to me. Anyone know a good Mercruiser mechanic?? And just to make sure that didn't stop me from having any fun, I had shoulder surgery last Thursday. The doctor says, no working on boat and can't use the right arm for fishing for who knows how long. It looks like the fish of Hills Creek are safe from me at least. I'm depending on the rest of you guys to go out there and get in on some of the best fishing in the area. I've always had my best luck in the fall, when the water starts to receed and you can go after those lunkers in the Middle Fork. If all goes well, I hope to back in the Spring. Enjoy.

I for one am sorry for your loss, to be boatless and the loss of your shoulder in the same week...quite the loss. On the other hand, that means those lunkers are all mine, if you get the use of your shoulder back before the use of your boat let me know and the front seat of my Smokercraft is yours. The fish are still mine but you can observe me winding them in... Take care and best wishes on a fast recovery - on both issues.

B.O.A.T. - Break out another thousand.

Boat - A hole in the water you throw money into.

Either way that sucks, and I hope that it isn't as expensive to fix as it sounds, and you get back out there to the fish soon.

Greadyeagle;
Just thought I would check up on you and make sure you are following the doc's orders. I know it has only been like three weeks or so, but I also know from experience it feels like three months. Have you had any luck finding a mechanic for your boat yet? Maybe one of the members can give you a reccomendation for one.
Hope to hear that you are back on the water soon. Take care.

I heard from Greadyeagle today and he is doing great, the doctor prescribed fishing as a therapy for his shoulder and his boat is fixed and he is ready to hit the water....we should expect some post and pictures very soon. Funny you would think of him at the same time he thought of us
