Hit the back boat ramp at sunrise....perfect morning, over cast and the moon was not a factor...Bottom Bob schooled me on the fine art of spin fishing... The guy was an animal, although he did live up to his name; looks like Cabelas will be getting an order from him shortly..
We Trolled, bobber fished and spent most of the day casting lures. Man I do love to spin fish, he pulled out some very nice native Rainbows and a couple of pan sized Chinook...me I looked good casting and made some amazing recovery's, you know in the branches and was able to pop them off with out loosing a single lure. He had the lure of the day a Mepps Aglea, the thing looked like a minnow swimming; he back bounced it through the shade and one Native after another...The water is still very high for this time of the year and the algae is almost totally gone. Water temp was 71 at the ramp and 54 at the confluence, crystal clear...such a beautiful color...We spent most of the day in the back behind the bridge and most of the other anglers were on the other side...not sure how they did but they stayed on their side and we stayed on ours.... Here are a few pictures, hope you enjoy them.Chuck
