Hi gang. I just realized I forgot to tell you about last weekend. Reading the title pretty much gives it away. We didn't even make it to GP.
The local police in Sweet Home pulled us over and made us turn around for not having chains on the boat trailer. So, we headed for Stayton to fish under the bridge. It was SO cold that we would cast out, wait ten minutes, reel in and run for the truck heater! That lasted for about an hour before we said "enough". We headed for Mahema bridge, where it was warmer cuz it's a bigger bridge. Nada! Went to breakfast and warmed up. Decided to go on up to Detroit on the dam. We were both fairly numb by this time, so what the heck?! Well, to say we didn't catch any fish would be an understatement. It was snowing so hard,at times, that we couldn't even see the water! I have never seen snow fall from the sky and then fly right back up!! It came down, it went up, it went right, it went left. My son and I were laughing so hard that we were choking on snow! A big skunk? Yeah, but a great day with a great friend!![]() ![]() ![]() We might give it another try real soon, depending on the weather haha. Thanks for all the advice and encouragement. Corn & tuna? Kewl! Barb

It won't be long and you can go fishing in a tank top and shorts....
. Bank fishing is tough until you find some places that produce. I went on Sunday and couldn't believe how much snow there was coming down. At one time I would have traded my net for a snow shovel... The catching was alright but the cold was unbelievable. Hang in there and it will get better, when I used to bank fish I would take my coleman lantern with me and get set up where I was gona be and fire up the lantern and it puts out some great heat.....Tight lines to you.Chuck

I tried to night fish the other evening right up until it started hailing. I figured a warmwater species in a hale storm? Yeah right. For all I knew they had burrowed all the way to Mexico by that time so I went home.
