Default Metolius River Trip...

Drove up to the Met Friday morning on a mission for some R&R..So far the mission has been a success..No fish yet but the time has been well spent..

Went to all my usual spots trying various flies in hopes that I would see some rising feesh or the start of a hatch..But that did not happen..I did see one fish rise today though, but it was in the closed section near Camp Sherman bridge..And that is where I saw these guys as well..

After shivering in the frigid waters long enough I wondered around to absorb the grand beauty that the Met offers to all if they are just willing to stop and take a look..So I did..

The fishing has been off but the scenery is always on..So I put my camera to good use and am having a good time..

Thank you for the post. The pictures are, as usual, excellent.

To bad about the fishing and as usual nice pics. The otter pic would be perfect is the background wasnt as over exposed but i still love it.

Yea the Otter pic was a tough one, it was almost dark and I was using ISO 1600..Not bad considering..
I have been camped up here since Friday so maybe I will get another chance tomorrow..
