Sad thanks for the help, you might also enjoy the washington version

So when do people actually visit or get involved on this site? The washinton counter part is quite a bit more informative. Sorry, but it is true.Washington Fly Fishing - Fly Fishing Forum

Thanks Craig. You are entitled to your opinions. I guess all I have to reply is, Who cares ? Visit that site if you like it better. But I like this site and the people on it. It is about Oregon fishing not Washington, because we all live in OREGON. Maybe that site is better, but that is irrelevant for those of us who DON'T live in Washington. This site is not even a year old so give it some time and the community will grow. Tact.. you should look it up.
Thanks,
JT

Default sorry

Hey, I just meant that no one seems to be alive here. I can't believe that a forum that has been around a year and not a single person has posted a single post about fishing in Northeast Oregon, where I do live and do fish. I also see where there are other entire regions that haven't had a single person feel the need to share. I tried to stimulate some interest about the Wallowa county fishing and appearantly no one fishes east of the mountains. I am glad to see someone has some passion.

I only recently stumbled onto these two sites and have had several people help with encouraging information about local fishing spots, invitations to show me some of the local spots here in the Portland/Vancouver area.

I thought maybe there was no one out there. I guess I was wrong. Sorry again, but don't take yourself quite so seriously.

Howdy craigatkins. I am looking forward to your additions to the northeast side of the forum. What rivers do you fish?

Thumbs up Eastside of the Mountains

I fish the east side when ever I can, actually I will be over there this weekend. Where do you find yourself fishing mainly ? Give us some history, we will respond in a positive way - I promise...!

Sorry I jumped on you man, but posting "lame forum" doesn't benefit anyone and may keep people from joining up. I don't think it was constructive critisism. I hope the opening of Trout season will help pick up activity on the forum. I look forward to your posts and am sorry about the missunderstanding on my part. This is as Troutski says "a friendly site."
Tight lines,
JT

Default now we're talkin

See, I posted about the Wallowa's about two weeks ago and not a taker to be seen, now we have some dialoge.

I mainly fish on the Wallowa river, the Imnaha, and the Lostine. Do some Kokanee fishing up at Wallowa lake when I get hungry.

I guess the reason I finally figured I would post somthing a little dicey was because not a single person had posted to the central or N.E. oregon section about flyfishing the rivers when we all know that central oregon has some of the best rivers in America.

Good luck over east this weekend Trotski, because of my schedule I usually miss the good fishing over there. I will be retiring soon to that part of the state and am looking forward to getting a full dose of fishing those waters.

The Grand Ronde from Minam to Troy is supposed to be a great float, about an easy 2 or 3 days when the flow is right and the fishing is said to be excellent.

Hope I didn't tick off to many of you, just wanted to see if there was anybody out there. Take care, and good luck.

Thanks for the offer, I will check out what Mokai's has to say. Good luck this weekend if you are going out, I can't do the crowds so I will wait a bit. I mentioned to my wife that I would be interested in a pontoon boat prior to retireing and being broke so she went out and got me one so I am looking forward to getting it in a lake some where and seeing how that works. Later.

Default Welcome Craig

One of the reasons no one has posted in the regional links for several areas of the state is that Anatoliy only added the regional fishing report links a short time ago. Plus most of us live somewhere in the Valley and getting to some parts of the state takes hours of driving time and with gas prices the way they are many of us just can't afford to go to those areas of the state. I've heard about the fishing on the Willowa for years and have never been over there fishing. I would like to someday but it just costs to much for now. I too do go to Central Oregon as much as I can. I love Craine Prairie, and Lake Billy Chinook. I want to try to get over to East and Paulina lakes soon as I've never fished them and would love to hook into one of those big German Browns. I will say that the posting on this site has seemed to slow down lately. I think with the better weather many of us have been busy with yard work and other honey do's, I know I have.
