Default Oregon

I must say thay Oregon seems to stock more and seems to care more about the sport than Washington. I wouldn't mind fishing in Washington being that it's a 5 minute drive but the stocking seems to be little to none compared to Oregon as you can see from the ODFW site and/or Oregon Fish Finder both of these site show thousand in stocking. This well help when it comes to getting our youth involved in the sport. Kids want to catch something or it becomes boring to them. Oregon is helping in alot of ways giving our sport a chance for the future.

I think this forum has more people interested in catching fish, the Washington forum has quite a few eletist types that would say that stocking fish is not a good thing, it takes away from the native fish, blah, blah, blah. I think in the case of rivers I may agree, but it appears that most of the people on this forum are happy to catch stocked fish in a lake. More power to em. Later.

I like OFF. It is a friendly place, but remember it is still in its infancy and needs time to grow. There will be a surge of new participants as we near spring fishing.

BTW, there are lots of sites out there on fishing this is just one of the ones I like being a part of. I am also very active with WashingtonLakes.com because 70% of my fishing is on the other side of the river and I have developed alot of friendships there, also.

I stay away from elitist sites, that's why you won't find me on alot of the bass sites except as a lurker.
