I am new to the Creswell area and do not have a boat. So I am bank fishing and could use a good place to go. Iwent to the middle fork of the willy for opening day. Did not get anything worth taking a picture of had fun though. If anyone has a good spot to reccomend I would like to hear.
Thank You |

Dorena reservoir is a good place to bankfish for trout and bass. Dorena is south of you in Cottage Grove. It's also a great place to explore. I head up there a lot for prospecting and mushroom picking.

I live in Creswell, also. Seem to be a lot of fishers moving here. For bank fishing: Leaburg, Fern Ridge, Junction City pond. What type of fish do you want to target?

I just like to catch fish that put up a fight. I just release them anyway.

In that case, you would love Cottage Grove Res. Some people don't like to fish there because of the mercury warning. There is good bank fishing on the rocks on the north end of the lake. The small bluegill are really fun. In the fall (when they start draining) the fishing is GREAT from the dam. We caught several crappie and bluegill 10-11". There is also decent bass fishing from the rocks on the bank just south of the dam.

Of course, the Creswell pond and Cottage Grove pond are both stocked with trout. Just need a little power bait.
