2007 Northern Pikeminnow Sport Reward Fishery As you'll read on that page it's only the Columbia and a select couple of other rivers where PGE is sponsoring it, and the fish must come from those rivers. |

Oncorhynchus nice fish and I like that you don't just kill those NPM. It is always up to the angler to decide what to do with PKM, I respect both methods. One tip for keeping your sweet little creek's fish healthy is to get a pair of hemostats to remove the hooks from your Trout without having to handle them. Handling trout removes the slim from thier bodies and from what I have heard there are several drawbacks to holding trout in your hands. Loss of scales and slime leave the fish vulnerable to sickness and infections. If you need to hold them use a wet rubbery material like gloves or a rubbery cloth. The hemostats will clamp on the hook, you then gently as possible shake the buggers off. Pinching down your barbs helps this as well. You sounded as though you care about your jewel of a creek, just thought you might want to do a little more to care for it. Good luck!!

$4 for the first 100 of the season over 9 inch. Then until 400 they are $5 after 400 they go up to $8.

Looks like they've even been having clinics for how to catch them. One more clinic is available. Hope I don't work late that evening!

What's the largest Pike Minnow any one on this site has caught ? Me I just caught a 22 1/2plus" in Lookout, early morning trolling "you guessed it a Gold Spoon". Just curious about the average sized fish caught here.

Would you believe I'm a 58 year old grandmother virgin?
I am fairly certain I have never caught a single Northern Pikeminnow. So, I guess you are the winner....so far. C'mon OFF'ers speak up! Surely someone has a bigger one than Troutski... let's hear the story, see the pictures....Time to show off and brag.... ![]() Barb

Well I checked the ODFW web site and their doesn't seem to be a record on the books for the Pike Minnow/Squaw as of now...who knows maybe some one on OFF will make it to the record books. Tight lines and good luck to all..
