that was for bonneville... you might need more incase for snags... shad like rocky places... willamette's shad is too dirty to eat, go to the dam, theres more at the dam... There's over 100000 a day at the dam... better water at the dam.... better habitat at the dam...

I went up to Clackamette park after work last evening with my brother as crew. We anchored just up from the mouth of the Clackamas. I started with a red and pearl wee dick nite flicker spinner on a 3ft. leader and 5 oz. of lead on a 2ft. dropper. My brother put on a shad killer with two small green beads.

I hooked a fish on the first drop back. A nice fat hen that really put the bend on the 5 1/2 foot ultra lite trout pole. We had a great battle with the current and 4lb.test line.

We boated 15 and sore-mouthed at least that many more in 2 1/2 hours. Great way to spend an evening.

Peace, Tom

Does fishing the clack have almost the same success rate as the dam?

FishKiller23,

I will be going after work about 5:30pm on Tuesday or Wednesday and putting my boat in at Clackamette park.

Please let me know if you want to go. One thing I must insist on is that you wear a life jacket. I have a spare inflatable that is very comfy to wear.

Peace, Tom
