they were definately some Good fish and chips
 Not caught on bait unless you count a 1" light green colored crawdad jig tail on a 1/16 oz orange jig head, as bait. some places do consider plastic jig tails "bait" - where I consider Digestable items "bait". They were in a private pond down the road from our house. We know the landowners, and they dont mind us fishing since we respect the rules they have set and clean up after ourselves.. |

hey tongo, try EE wilson pond. i take a size 14 gold treble and cut off two of the points at the shank. then i take anything (worms, eggs, powerbait, u name it), but a 1/3 of a powerbait corn kernel works best. Oh, the bait HAS to be a SINKING BAIT! Anyway, you put your bait on the hook (hookpoint well exposed) and flip it out about 7 feet ( this is with no weight or bobber or anything, because anything besides the hook and bait scares the fish). you might have to throw it out by hand. watch the bait sink. if it disappears, strike! This catches bass, shellcrackers, and above all, TONs O' BLUGGILL!

EE Wilson is awesome for endless bluegills. You don't even need to get very far out as they hang around the bushes on the ponds edge, or anywhere there's a break from weeds to open water.
And my experience has shown me that they don't care much for powerbait, though crappie jigs, or little 1/16oz jig heads with small plastics all seem to work great. As do earthworms or any other type of bug you cna get your hands on. |

pautske's single eggs both green lid and blue on a tiny single egg hook with a tiny split shot 18" above works well on the days tiny jigs arent working.
I havent caught many on powerbait dough but I caught one yesterday on a 1" "powerbait micro's power nymph" |

Bluegills are crazy and bait on everything but the best success I had was on worms or maggots with a float. The most important thing is to move the bait quite often. They do not strike as much if the bait is static. For some time I kept bluegills in an aquarium and tried to feed them with regular goldfish pellets but they did not take a bite. Once I put worms in the aquarium the feeding frenzy begun.

Ahh yes, there're powerbait plastics as well
 . Which is actually what I primarily use, the maggots and the 3" trout worms. |

lake Oswego has some good bluegill in it, even from the bank, if you can get access. anywhere that there are weeds and shallow spots they'll be hanging out, i've never tried anything except for the worms which i usually knock them dead with
