Not only is it apparently a popular swimming hole but it's hit pretty frequently for fishing as well, plenty of powebait and what not visibly snagged on the bottom. And actually this particular hole is around mp 19-22.

And there are definitely steelhead moving through the area, I saw a monster passing through a hole 1/4mi upstream of that particular hole.

Yup a lot of cameras.

Actually I'm really looking forward to this summer, as once it gets warm I don't plan on being shy about getting in the water. Hopefully I can get some more interesting videos.

Post Nothing like them...

There is nothing quite like underwater shots, especially releasing them like that. Nice job...keep up the good work...

Did you just catch those last weekend? I was just on the Wilson about 10 miles west of Jones Creek and only caught trout 6 to 8 in. Do think it would help i went further towards the coast?

I caught those fish on the days I posted the photographs. I was out on the Wilson this last weekend as well, trying for either a steelhead or a chinook during free fishing weekend. Had no luck with that, but caught some of those 6-8" trout you're talking about .

As for your question on where, my belief is that you'll find them everywhere in the river, but there may certainly be a bias towards them being found lower in the river system (more food and shelter).

If you were out this last weekend those high flows hurt the fishing really badly. Normally I can get endless nibbles with ease, almost as will, though hooking them is another story. While last weekend I had to work real hard to even find a fish.
