Default Winter Steelhead

It’s that time again! Winter Steelhead season . . .

We are seeing some fantastic fishing for this early in the season. There are more numbers of early fish here, than we have seen in many years. Both a mix of broodstock fish and wild fish. All of the Northern Oregon Coastal streams are showing great catches of fish. On our home river, we have fresh fish spread throughout the Nestucca. However, we are in the middle of yet another batch of storms. When the weather decides to relax, we should see some fantastic early season catches, and it will only get better. If this is any indication of what is to come, it could be an epic year. With the holiday season over, we will be on the water, going for some fresh chrome for the smoker. We are all very excited to see what is to come. So here we go, our claim to fame is upon us, and they truly are an awesome fish. Come get em!!! Here are some shots taken from recent trips. ENJOY!
