Default Fishing Odfw fish near portland.

I decided to fish the very small commonwealth pond in beaverton last week. I caught many fish but all very small.

Fish were being caught on powerbait and worms. I went with my panther Martin spinners, because they are so much fun.

Nice pictures, those are some fatties...........good job, nothing like a fish on a lure. Some times after a day of lure fishing my back is killing me, I find myself all hunched over waiting for the strike and by the time I straighten up to a full stand, my back is stiff as a board. But that strike, especially the larger fish - oh my its worth it.

ha, I find myself doing the same thing. with my back.

I actually could not figure it out for a bit, Because I was so distracted by fishing. The low profile caused me to crunch a bit. But I would move a bit and crack my back, during fishing . Now I stretch before and at night.

Cool. I am new enough to fishing that I look forward to catching those little stockers still. That pond is like 8 minutes from my apartment. I might go there tomorrow morning.

Hello, I am new to the forums and new to fishing the Portland/Metro area. I fished ALOT for spring and fall chinook down in Roseburg on the Umpqua River. Unfortuantely I know nothing about the fishing in this area, you guys and these forums are a godsend.

Figured I'd introduce myself, prob hitting Commonwealth tomorrow, most likely with the kids to see if they can hook their first fish ever. Thanks guys, great site.

Welcome Bowtie, you will get a ton of help here. I've never fished up in your neck of the woods, but if you ever get down here - let me know, I can hook you up on some of my home waters.
