Jessals Fishing

I'm headed to La Pine and will be staying on the L. Deschutes and am wondering if it's worth checking out. Anyone know? If not, what's my best bet around La Pine? Any tips would be great!

There's several lakes near LaPine. East and Paulina to the north, and Wikiup, Crane Prarie, Davis, and Cultis lakes to the west. There's a few more a little farther to the west also. All are very good fishing. You've picked one of Oregon's primo spots for trout fishing.

Ya, i fish the Deschutes in August and it not a bad place to fish for trout. just before sun up or just before sun down are the best times for me. I usually fish the banks were the river converges with another river. I have thrown panther martins, brown trout krocodiles, even worms have caught fish for me.
