Great looking fish and gives me an idea. I'll be up in just over two weeks for my daughters wedding but i am coming up a week early. I'll give mom the credit card and and fish central Oregon. How many of the lakes can be fished from the bank (with reasonable hope for sucess) or have boats available for rent?

Most of the lakes have some bank access, I my self have never really tried to fish them that way except maybe Wickiup. There is a ton of bank access on that lake. Lava,Wickiup,Crane and Cultus all have boat rentals along with most camping equipment. Look them up on the web and see what they offer, just google them. Most if not all have web sites, and inventory's of gear and the latest angling luck. Good luck and tight lines to you.

Post Annual Trip to Central Oregon...

Well it is that time again....the Central Oregon Lakes fishing expedition. Myself, Mokai,BottomBob and Dicroic are heading to Wickiup for 7 days of fishing as many lakes as we can fit in...snow being the factor for denied access to some of the higher lakes. We are really pumped up, Mokai and Bottombob made a trip yesterday to check out the snow pack and found us a very nice camp spot on Wickiup with our own boat ramp and have water on both sides. The fishing is expected to pick up due to the warm weather this week....we will be leaving on Friday and coming back the next Sat. In my opinion Central Oregon offers the best oppertunity for a great fishing experence and the chance of a record fish to boot. The camping is basic on the water ruffing it, you know what I mean. Mokai bought a camper and it has a/c along with a generator for the wide screen t.V. and charging capibilities for all the batt.'s and a kickass heater. Good friends and great food make for a really good week. If any one is going to be in the area over that week shoot me a pm and we can meet up for some angling and lies over a camp fire. The guy in charge of fire management says " if the fire can't be seen from space it's not a fire" so you won't have a problem finding us - look for the orange glow on the horizon.. I will be spending the better part of next week getting everything ready for the trip so if you don't hear from me for a while it is a good thing. Tight lines to all and be well.

Chuck

I Appreciate that Chuck, too bad for working overtime this week; I'd be tempted to come up even just for a day. I'm begging my wife just to let me take a float trip with my neighbor tomorrow on the McKenzie. Naybe next year...., when do you guys take [b]OFF[b]?
