Post Frozen Trout Creek

Went Trout angling the other day and the out side air temp was 28 degrees, made for some interesting cast to say the least. The guides would freeze up between cast and you had to submerge the guides to thaw them out. The line would freeze to the spool after a while, crazy just crazy. The fishing was pretty good, we landed four Cutthroat Trout and one Steelhead, the Trout were between 10 and 12 inches; the Steelie was about 30 inches. We fish the morning and were home drinking our favorite hot beverage before 11 am. All fish released unharmed and still full of spunk. Here are a couple of pictures.

Looks like fun I'm very jealous of you steelhead. What method did you use to catch it. I wish my local creek was open this time of year.

I think the crazy part was the guy that was fishing in 28 degree weather, but I do seem to remember a day at Green Peter with the snow falling, and that guy didn't turn back then either! You won't catch a bass fisherman out there!!!..., well not most of the time.
