Can anyone tell me where I should put the boat in? I thought I'd just bring some worms and some bass lures. Do I need anything else? Thanks...

It started pouring about three minutes in, so I didn't get to fish much but has anyone been there? It seemed a little seedy down under the bridge. Wondering if anyone had any info on the area or the fishing.

Went to the Breitenbush this last Saturday. No one around except my father and I. We tried to kill ourselves getting down to where we wanted to fish. I am a big man - like the name - over 300# and had to scale an old dead cedar over a cliff to get to the water - CRAZY. But I am alive and really had some good fishing. In the hour and a half I caught 2 nates both around 10 in. 2 regular stockers about 11 inches. and one nice redband. then, the sun came out and the fish didn't want to play. here is a pic of the redband, I used my cell so you can't really see the coloring. <a href="http://www.oregonfishingforum.com/attachments/fishing-willamette-zone/11841-breitenbush-fly-fishing-dsc00195.jpg" title="Name:

Spent all day over at the Rock lakes and pulled fish from all three.
Caught a few small 8-10 inch brooks in the lower
another 9 inch brook and a 10 inch cutthroat out of the middle
and one nice 13inch Brook out the Upper Lake
One Cutthroat was caught on a worm
Rest of the trout on a Rooster Tail

There were a couple boys rowing around the Middle Lake in a rubber raft and they had quite of few, they claimed they were only out there an hour or so.
They were using something like number 2 hooks with worms and some real big flashy rigging.. Not sure how it was working but they must have had there limit.

Overall the whole area is awsome, It is a ways out and you really do need a rig with some clearance just to make it up there. But its simply a Beautiful place.
And on this holliday weekend it was Quiet and Peacfull, Only a handfull of other people and most of them just hiking.

Lower Lake only really has one good spot to fish out of and there are alot of snags if your not carefull. Would be better with a Float tube.
(or even just waders to get past the snags)

Middle and Upper both have some some good shore fishing.

Im not sure about photos yet, since we forgot to bring a camera we shot some stuff with our cells. so maybe later...

I am fishing with Osmosis Wednesday, Sep 1. All day. My wife wants to spend the day with Colin instead of fishing. I am looking for someone to go with me, my treat.
Where are we going? B10 or Tillamook or wherever Osmosis says. What are we fishing for? Chinook, unless its closed. If its closed, then whatever Osomosis says. What do you need to bring? Appropriate clothing, your own food and drink. FYI, I don't drink alcohol. I don't particularly care if you do, but I'm not looking for a falling-down drunken fishing partner.
There are conditions:
1. You have to go fishing with me; guided by Osmosis.
2. You have to pm me and tell me you want to go.
3. You have to meet me at Omosis' boat; wherever he says.
4. You have to have all day to go fishing, and you have to want to have fun.
5. You have to know its called fishing, not catching guarantees. But we are going with Osomsis.

Thats it.

Who am I? A 53 year old, non-smoker and really really prefer you are too, married looooong time, father of 3 grown children, grandfather of Colin. Easy-going guy (at least I think I am) who gets along with most any age as long as you like to go fishing. I mostly fish the sacramento river and the ocean. I want to learn more about this river fishing stuff for Chinook and Steelhead. That is why I am on OFF. Some of you know me.
I am on the road right now. I won't be back on here for a day or so.
So, does anyone want to go fishing? Osmo is going to get paid for 2 so you might as well go if you want to. PM me.
Dale
PS: If this is in the wrong place, I apologize and assume someone will put me in my place.

I think that's how it is spelled, it's near cottage grove. I've only driven by it a few times and it looks fish-able. I would like to know from anyone who's fished it before if it's worth adding a tacklebox and rod to my day pack. Crawdad and swimming hole info would be appreciated too ;). The path I'm taking used to be some "goose train" line or something, the tracks were removed and it was turned into a path.

I have not been to Faraday Lake in nearly 30 years. I'm thinking of taking my 3 kids to Faraday Lake for the supposed week-of-8/23 stocking (it is listed on the web site) as a nice intro to fishing, but in a phone call to the OFDW stocking line, Faraday was neither mentioned in the scheduled stockings, nor the confirmations.

If it was deleted from the schedule this week, the next option might be North Fork, so my question is whether North Fork is accessible via E Faraday Rd heading from Faraday Lake? Or must one take Hwy. 224? I'd like to be near the log bridges and it would seem more convenient to take E Faraday Rd., but I saw a post in the North Fork forum that there is some sort of gate that people take from the parking lot. This leads me to believe that the gate is on E Faraday Rd. and people walk that, rather than drive?

Thanks in advance for any help.
