Default Dexter Lake in the snow

Tried to make it to Hills Creek this am, but there was way to much snow on the ground and it was still coming down heavy. So we turned around and headed for Dexter, it was still snowing but not sticking there. Launched at 8:30am and by 9:15 Land Locked Chinook in the net. Caught one more about 45min later and that was it, a few hits but no fish. Not another angler to be found, can't image why. What's a little snow and cold - heck the fish don't care, well maybe they do. There was a hatch of what looked like Blue Winged Olives, and tons of fish rising on them. Had to leave a bit early but still I am not posting on the "other" forum, if you know what I mean( ). Water temp. was 44.7 degrees and the water was a very nice color, no wind just snow/mixed with rain most of the morning and afternoon. Nice to be back in the boat and off the shore, my old bones really missed the comfy seats and the heater. Gotta love Oregon weather, I sure do.

Chuck

I don't think there's a better way to spend time with kids than to take them fishing...They are lucky to have a grandfather like you. Hope you enjoy the site!
