went out to Detroit on Sunday. It was freakin beautiful out there. There were probably about twenty people on the damn when I showed up around 9:00 am. I saw a whole two rainbows caught in the two hours I was at the damn. One was a nice 18 incher though. They were fishing way on the bottom with some rainbow powerbait. after that I move eastward and fished along the bank for a couple of hours, no bites to speak of. Good luck and skill folks.

I bet you'd have seen more fish hooked if they weren't fishing on the bottom. For the trout especially the water is entering their ideal range.
I forgot to ask, how high was the water? Last edited by chris61182 : 05-06-2008 at 11:23 PM. |

To be honest that was my first time out there, so I dont really know what would be considered a high water level, but I can tell you that there was enough bank on the sides of the damm for people to be down there fishing. Also, I forgot to mention it before, but one guy fishing that bank caught a nice Kokanee.
