Cougar morning netting
Well I can't remember when I had a day like that..water temp was 63 at the ramp and 41 at the head of the lake, beautiful water - the color is just remarkable ...right off the bat 20 yds from the boat launch SLAM, a respectful Chinook. Then went to the down rigger and couldn't miss..........this is just too much. It won't last the morning, wooow it did, I went to the back of the lake and started trolling that "Gold Spoon" and you guessed it hog on....I managed five Salmon and five Trout, four of which filled the next with wiggling lurching Trout, there were a couple of guys watching from the bridge and they even noticed the net looked quite small. Some times I wonder why I even carry all those other lures.
 . Then ended up on the east fork of the Mckenzie, cutthroat country, went to a rooster tail and fourth cast the largest fish of the day. Figured I should leave the lake to the jet skies and other anglers, not a speck of rain a just a hint of wind...wow, what a day. Chuck

Today was the first time to wear my OFF sweat shirt, must be a good omen - a new lucky shirt. Just what an angler needs another lucky shirt.
