Thumbs up Cougar on any Sunday

I just can't get over how clean this water is, even after major rain last week and more last night. 28 feet of water and you can all most read the lettering on my anchor, we did very well. Got some very nice Rainbows and a plethora of Salmon, trolling produced a few fish but they were radically smalller than the ones we caught in the back. Water temp. was 47 at the boat ramp, and warmed up to 52 degrees along Rice Wall. Seemed like the Gold spoon out produced the Jakes.......The outside air was quite brisk in the morning and in the shade, but then around 2 pm the sun was out and the sunscreen came out. No one was hurt and we both limited out, if we would have keeped them we would have eaten very well, very well indeed. We saw two other anglers and they were bankies and pretty far away from us, not another boat on the lake.

Sounds like you had a good day! I keep trying that little gold Cleo at least once every fishng day but have yet to connect with it. I was trying to remember what speed you fish it? Maybe I'm going too fast to get the best action out of it. I did catch a small salmon with a gold Kastmaster- does that count

Jim, I do troll slower that you.....and yes a gold Kastmaster does count. To get the Cleo to wobble just right you kneed .9 - 1.3 mph.(GPS) the Kastmaster can be trolled much faster.
