Thumbs up Cougar Res.

Made it to Cougar this morning, as a passenger - how sweet it is. We did very well, limited out on Salmon and one very nice native Trout. Sorry no pictures, my camera was in my other boat. Cold in the morning and got colder as the day move by, water temp. was 43 degrees at the boat ramp and warm up to 47 by mid day. The fish seem to be stacked on the east wall of the canyon in the warmest water. We took full advantage of the fact and just did figure eights all day, some one had a fish on most of the day. It rained on and off through out the day, even got a rainbow on the lake, very nice. Trolling spoons, gee who would have guessed. No one got hurt and the equipment worked well, can't complain about a day like that. To think this lake is a mere 45 min. from my drive way.........OREGON, so lucky.

Chuck

Wow- that water is staying cold up there! Good to hear you had a good catching day. Any fishing conditions can be tolerated if there's fish biting.
I wish I could make it down there but I'm only able to get 1 day of fishing in each weekend and that's a long trek for one day.

I'll be hitting Greenpeter on Saturday with a couple buddies- maybe you should take a little longer drive than -out your back door- and show us how it's done

I believe you could pencil me in for the challenge, so far I don't have any plans for Sat., keep in mind that a pencil mark can be erased . Gotta leave room for honeydos.........

Well if a guy has to worm out of a trip this is the way to do it, I overstepped my bonds and Sunday is my day of angling on this weekend. Saturday is all ready spoken for. Unless you can wait until Sunday for the First Annual Greenpeter Challenge, if not then - have a safe day and don't forget to check your plug before you launch.

You must've had an inkling in the back of your mind in the first place since you only used a pencil!
The ying and the yang seem to be out of step a bit- one of these days we'll get'em to match- we might actually be on the same lake on the same day......it could happen!
Good luck to you also Chuck. Jim
