Man, what a difference a day can make.....yesterday we braved the wind and driving rain and snow. Today I got a sunburn, spring time in Oregon. The water was quite a bit colder and we really had to hunt the fish down, but once we found them it was magical. Again no Trout, but the Salmon.....man those things can put up a fight. The morning was very slow to say the least, after the sun started to warm up the water the bite began. Those gold spoons, can't say enough about them. I tried worms, powerbait, and every combination of the two...even miniature marshmallows tipped with a worm, nothing. Finely after hours of trial and error we went back to our gold cleo and kicked our selves in the butt for not doing it sooner. So be it, the day ended very nicely with a limit of Chinook in the cooler. Forgot it was Spring break and the lake was packed, two kayaks and guy walking his dog.....so lucky to live here.

I'd have to strongly agree!!! There's no place like Oregon. The only problem is...to many people are discovering our beautiful state and moving here!
Good job Chuck! I can't wait to get my boat in the water again!...it will happen soon!!!
