Made it to Cougar again this morning, hit the boat ramp before sunrise......raining and cold. Water temp was 47 degrees right of the bat this tells me the opportunity is there for a great day. We did rather well considering the lake is filling up fast and the floating debris is massive, trolling was tough so we tried to find open areas and toss lures. Pick up a few fish doing that and then we started bobber fishing and began to pick up a few fish here and there. That will teach me to anticipate a great day on the water. No skunk but not the day I was expecting. Saw another Osprey, this a very good sign in my opinion, if the birds of pray are in the area then the fish must be there - probably under the giant pods of debris floating in the shallows. All in all we had a great day on the water, the rain stopped around 12 and the sun began to shine, got a cool shot of a rainbow crossing the lake...Yes I did remember my camera, don't have the time tonight to post the pictures but I will tomorrow sometime. Just nice to back on the water, in someone else's boat....being a passenger is wonderful. Not that I don't like my boat, just love to not have any of the responsibilities. Tight lines to all.
