Here is a shot of this beautiful 25 pound buck caught last week out of Aldrich. Anyone else going back out this weekend? I know I am!

great looking fish man... cant wait for some springer action.
Not going out this weekend, but I am going out next Sat.
There is something to be learned from a rainstorm. When meeting with a sudden shower, you try not to get wet and run quickly along the road. But doing such things as passing under the eaves of houses, you still get wet. When you are resolved from the beginning, you will not be perplexed, though you still get the same soaking. This understanding extends to everything.

    Default Sea Lion!!!

Well, I went out again last Sunday (3/21) out of Aldrich. We were on the troll in the morning with no action so we decided to anchor up out by the pilings. We had one boat next to us, they hooked up with a nice one about 1/2 hour after we got there. We had seen a sea lion farting around but he ignored them when they caught the first one.

You see where this is going. About 2:00 in the afternoon my rod starts banging. I wait a second to make sure, then grab and start reeling. I look up after a few cranks and see the entire 20 pound beautiful fish completely out of the water about 30 yards off. i thought "that aint right." Sure enough the sea lion came charging up right under the fish and snatched it up. We chased the thing around for about 10 minutes before the line snapped. As soon as the line snapped, the sea lion came up and sat on its back and started munching on the salmon, right in front of us. I know he was enjoying it.

Didn't get another bite that day. Very frustrating but what can you do. Makes me want to just stay in Clifton/Aldrich channel where there are fewer sea lions.

Going to try again in a few weeks. Hope you guys are having some good fishing!
