Haha no it's all good because initially I didn't think about it either. Haha but 30 pounds is quite a bit.

You know I never thought of this before, but the more weight you get on the back of your boat, the harder it's gonna row. Maybe a 25lb would work well?

I was kinda thinkin' about that too...lol. I'm wondering about a 25 pounder in the back and if I got like a 8 or 10 or something up front, that'd be solid. The only reason the 20 doesn't really work is because the front end is all over the damn place. So in theory, maybe, I don't even need a bigger anchor in the back?...

That's true.. I think a 25lber would do 'er! And an 8 for the front. And then rod holders.

It sounds like you are dropping your transom down in the water when you anchor up. Try shifting weight forward, such as, passenger seat closer to the fly deck. Moving any other baggage closer to the bow.

What you don't wanna hold your rod all the time? lazy.

Haha but no. I've got a scotty on my toon I might unscrew from the platform and install up front.

Now i just need a 25 pounder to materialize.

Possibly..I could move my junk up front, i've been keeping my gear behind me to keep it out of the way but, it does add weight. I got new oars too that contribute, as they don't cut in like my old woods ones did, the old ones I could just leave in the water, and turn them in and they kept it fairly straight...the new ones...well...new blades are in the works because i'm not impressed, because it's just all over the place. It sit's high in the water too so you add up all these little things, and it makes for a nauseating day on the river.
