I have been rely looking into building a fishing boat using the "stitch and glue" method. I just thought I'd see if any one here has made there own boat using this method or other any other. Here is a link to the boat I want to build.
Boat plan details, Garvey 11 (GV11), Power Boats 16' or less I like this design because it's small enough that I could transport it on top of my truck, it's fairly wide so it should be stable enough to stand in for fly casting, and it should do well in choppy water. -Nate

There is a guy down my way that sells kits for wooden boats, Tatman Boats; pretty famous in his craft. Here is a link to his site, good luck and keep a photo diary on the build...tight lines.

Yes I will definitely take pics of the build. Ideally I'd like to have it done in time for the spring fishing on Mt. Hood lakes. But it may not be until this summer before I start on it. The materials are kinda spendy so we'll see... I am of course open to sponsorship.
