Well I got a battery. A 34AH sealed electric wheelchair battery. It worked great. The Sevylor two speed motor did just what I bought it for. On low speed it trolled along at a nice slow speed, and on high speed it pushed me ahead at a descent pace. Next time out, after I get my boat registered and numbers installed, I will take the GPS to check the speed. What speed do others troll at?

I usually troll between 1.5 and 2 mph gaged by my gps...much better than my paddle wheel speed indicator.
