Walked the "beach" for about 1/2 mile today on west side still too low was nice out though also wet a line at dam nothing to speak of . Also fished ballenger pond at dusk last night through everything at them no luck

These days i would say bass for sure! cought lots of monter redsides as a youth in these parts but not much of a fly guy so havent hit those in yrs.
largest bass 7lb cought just west of the eugene country club in the water behind those aprts back in 91 so much new building there now hard to fish it! cant wait for the cottage grove topwater bite to hit nothing like froging there last summ me and bro must have cought 30 fish in the 4-6 lb range in a week! |

Thanks for lending your expertise to the forum. I am really looking forward to this summer, my fishing partner has been teaching me the art of Bass and Crappie angling. I still haven't mastered the waiting to set the hook, man I just can't seem to hesitate long enough and I miss most of my fish....
It just takes time on the water. Too many Trout in my boat I guess.... Chuck
