Default Minto-Brown Park

Does anyone have information on fishing Minto-Brown Park in Salem? I am looking for a good place to hunt for Bass in the Salem-Keizer area, especially for a float tube. Any help would be appreciated.

Default Self-Study

I went to Minto-Brown this morning to look for some bass. The park is an 898 acre expanse of wetlands, sloughs and recreation areas along the side of the Willamette River. I did not have any luck in any of the sloughs, although I did speak to some pontoon anglers who told me that they had some luck with smallies the day before, but did not have any success with LMB. A big problem with the area, and one the City of Salem is having difficulty controlling is the proliferation of invasive non-native water weeds. I think if you are out in a tube or on a pontoon you will be alright, but bank fishing is almost impossible due to the weeds.
